Timmy Feather’s loom, Cliffe Castle

This loom is really evocative to me. It’s the handloom belonging to Timmy Feather, the last Handloom weaver in the district, who died in 1910 in Stanbury. The beam has been worn away from the decades of his hands resting and pushing it as he wove. Seeing that direct evidence of someone in the past is very special.
