The Alpaca and the Mohair Goat

This is a sculpture of ‘The Alpaca and the Mohair Goat’ by Thomas Milnes (1868). The alpaca is significant to Bradford’s textile history as Sir Titus Salt’s success with spinning and weaving alpaca hair led to Titus Salt being one of the country’s richest textile industrialists in the 19th century.
