Peacock Girandole

This is part of a set that Henry Isaac Butterfield had at Cliffe Castle, looking like a peacock’s tail, but with mirrors to make the place sparkle! Henry’s granddaughter took them to Thoresby Hall (Nottinghamshire)in the 1950s. When her daughter died in 2015, she gave them and lots of other Butterfield keepsakes to the museum for everyone to enjoy.
