This piece was written by Al Beach, a Bradford based Performance Artist, who worked with us [Bradford Festival] to create a series of events in Warehouses and unusual spaces. These were run by an ad hoc volunteer group and he would turn up to lend a hand and invariably create a character for himself and offer a walk on performance piece. He was a meticulous researcher and planner and also an inveterate archivist and chronicler who would proffer an unsolicited, often hilarious, report or analysis after each contribution. This is his offering following ‘Dreamtime’ at the former Alfresco Garage (junction of Keighley Rd and Frizinghall Rd) on Sat 6th June 1987.
