Butterfield Menu

This menu was created for a party at Cliffe Castle in 1886. It’s all in French, with Cliffe Castle and an American Eagle depicted at the top, showing the Butterfield’s links to Keighley and America. I’m still intrigued by the ‘Glace Vesuve’ or the ‘Icecream Volcano’ though – I’ve not figured out quite what it is, but I bet it’s tasty!
